iSPAN floor joists are symmetrically shaped and made of variable-gauge light steel, making optimal use of the steel's strength. The joists also have large pre-punched utility holes providing easy access for servicing within the floor depth. The iSPAN floor joist system can be installed quickly and has achieved [UL/ULC] fire and acoustic rating—difficult to achieve because materials that improve acoustic isolation often are detrimental to a floor system's fire resistance rating.
